I realize I'm about a week late with this but Nikon has finally officially announced the long rumored D200 digital SLR. This may be the camera that finally will make me give up my 35 gear given it's low street price. For more info on this camera visit the nikon site:

Thanks for the info.
I like the relatively low price, combined with the fact that the D200 apparently will accept my old AI lenses (with manual focusing, of course).
The ideal would be to have one DX zoom lens (say the 28-70mm) for 80-90% of my shooting, with an exteme wide angle and telephoto (say 20mm and 500mm) for special shots. That would be set of equipment that I could live with.
