Any know anything of this? A 30D maybe? dpreview.com's forums had a discussion a few days ago. I feel good about my choice (with a USM/IS 17-85 EF-S lens) but am biting my lip in case the follow-up is a corker (good'un).
Any thoughts?

There have been serious rumors circulating. I am expecting something to be announced this fall, before the PhotoPlus Expo. However, if you feel the EOS 20D is going to suit you, I'd just go ahead and buy it. It's an excellent camera and it's a mistake to get caught in that trap of always waiting for the next thing. On the other hand, if the 20D will do the job, you might want to wait for the price to drop.

Canon has seems to be introducing new DSLRs every August, so, although the 20D is a great camera (I have one), if you haven't bought one already it would be prudent to wait until the end of the month to see what's coming. There is no firm information at this point, just rumors and what may be fake pictures of supposed new models. Wait'n see.
