A Banksia in flower last weekend on a day trip to Berrima.
The main problem here is the same as Book Boulevard and it's hidden away in a drop down list with other forums. I know they're here but i often forget to look. If other folks don't even know they're here then it will just die a slow death. The Book Boulevard has deceased.

It stands out from a distracting background. espaecially if background remains much darker, or even black.
I've been known to cheat a little with a shot like this by carrying a black poster board along. Colored ones work too. Placed behind my backlit subject. Out of focus, it looks quite natural.
