My first camera when I was a kid, an old Murcury single frame 35 mm. camera with a unique machine-gun like torrent for a shutter, -still works, an old Ziess Ikon bellows camera for 120 film, still works, and an old 35mm. Alpa Prism Reflex with a lens barrel that pulls out like the old Leica's used to do, -still works. Then I bought a FufiFilm 4900 Zoom digital camera which I didn't have for more then three years before selling it, then an Olympus 410, which I gave to my wife. Now I have an Olympus 8080 wideangle digital, which I'll probably keep until the next best digital toy comes along.
In the meantime I'll keep my old used Hasselblad 500CM and my Leica R 6.2, which I just bought another lens, a Simmulux 50 mm. f/1.4. Just that lens costs as much as the more expensive ditital toys and it was used. So, the Hassy and the Leica will be with me, along with the Ziess Ikon and Alpa until I die, but who knows about the digial cameras. Oh yes, I had a Contax T2 mini 35mm. which I wished I hadn't sold and an Olympus XA which was stolen and a Contax 35mm Reflex 139 which some very friendly whales off the coast of Argentina ruined with sea water when they got their kicks splashing me with water when I trid to photograph them. I traded the Contax for the Leica I now have.
Follow Ups:
Your haul makes my collection look absolutely paltry! Just a T-90 with a number of lenses (and a spare mint body), an Olympus XA, a Olympus Superzoom 800 and just recently a Canon Elph IXUS APS camera. AND I just won a Konica Minotal DiMage x31 - which I haven't yet received. I can't justify spending any more what I have already on the camera gear - plus it does not get used often enough - unlike the stereo system!
