30 years ago, my friend Judy was in her junior year at UC Berkeley. Tony ! Toni! Tone! were from nearby Oakland, and had a slow jam, "(Lay Your Head On My) Pillow," on the outer fringes of the charts. The combination of schoolwork, labs, and "(Lay Your Head On My) Pillow" caused Judy to doze off. However, whenever Judy hears "(Lay Your Head On My) Pillow" now, she reminisces about Cal life, and how she had way less responsibility then, than now.
