I took these on the weekend, just fooling around with the macro button.







The spider was no more than 30mm long. The one fake eye is a wierd thing.

I'm amazed such closeups come out all right with the new digital, though the autofocus gets very confused at times. I might take a few more on the odd weekend when I notice a few creepy crawlies hiding around the backyard. Getting my trigger hand 3" away from a funnel web spider isn't a bright idea though!
Must buy gloves :~)
