not sure why your indoor flash shots are too dark, unless - you're too far away (out of flash range) or have the film iso set too low or something like that. there's also the ability of that camera to adjust the flash intensity, apparently. make sure the flash is set to 'normal' or mid value, the iso is at least 100; 200 would be better, tho more noisy. aperture should be pretty open - f8 or more. if you shoot with those settings at a subject within maybe 15 ft, it should expose ok, no? if not, maybe there's some other setting that's off. full auto should work, within the flash's range of distance, however, i'd think. should be a pretty nice little camera, altho kinda lite on megapix, by 2005 standards.
